Transfer data to another DSS instance
Hi, I am switching to another desktop and I would like to keep my data / models and transfer them. I could transfer it dataset per dataset and re-train my models, but it would be highly inefficient. I would like to know what is the recommended way to do that ?

Hi

The best way to do it is to copy entirely your $DSS_HOME  (making a big tarball with it  for instance)  to your new computer.

If you run on mac os x you just have to

- transfer "/Users/$USER/Library/DataScienceStudio/dss_home" to the same location  on your new mac

- download and install  dataiku-dss.dmg app on your new mac

If you run on windows you just have to export your virtual machine and import it to your new hypervisor (virtualbox or VMWare)

If you're running linux, once you copied your $DSS_HOME  to your new desktop  you need to follow this procedure
